What should I do first when I start to feel overwhelmed?
Stop and breathe. When we are overwhelmed, our “fight or flight” response takes over, making it impossible to think clearly.

Step 1: Step away from the material or task for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Write down exactly what is confusing you. Often, “I’m confused about everything” turns into “I’m actually just unsure about this one specific concept.”
